Why limbic?

The limbic system relates to a set of structures deep within the brain, which support all of our every day actions.  It refers to our “emotional” brain.

This system automatically coordinates the different functions of our body with our emotional state i.e. breathing, digestion, blood and lymphatic circulation, metabolism and perspiration. It acts as a regulator to our emotions and plays an active role in the processing of information, filing of information and its storage.

It is the foundation of our learning process.

We believe that the fundamental role of the limbic system lies in the expression of “life itself”.  Evidence for us that good health is more than just the absence of illness.

And it was our wish to arrive at the core of “good emotional health” that gave rise to the name of our service.
